Springfield Special School
Cheshire East Council has undertaken a sufficiency review of its special educational needs provision across the borough. In response the authority have issued a public notice regarding a proposal to expand Springfield Special School by an additional 24 places, which if approved, will increase the schools capacity from 132 places to 156 places.
Springfield Special School provides for pupils aged 4 – 19 with a range of complex needs including:
- SLD (Severe Learning Difficulties)
- PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties)
- Complex needs including Language/Communication
- ASC (Autism )
- Combination of the above

Consultation on the proposed expansion of Springfield School closed. Cabinet members will consider the feedback received and make a decision on the proposed expansion at their meeting on 10 July 2018.
