Middlewich High School - proposed change to resource provision
The council have completed a sufficiency review of its special educational needs provision across the local authority. In response to the current demographics and previous yearly trends the Headteacher, Lead Teacher for the Resource Provision and Governors are in agreement that a reduction in numbers of Hearing Impairments(HI) provision and an increase in numbers for Autistic Spectrum Condition(ASC) provision is needed to meet current demands.
If the proposal goes ahead, 15 places will be offered to students with a primary need of ASC across key Stage 3 and 4 who have an Education Health Care Plan (EHCP) and the resource provision at Middlewich High School is named as their preferred provision and 5 places will be offered to students with HI across Key stage 3 and 4 who have an EHCP and the resource provision at Middlewich High School is named as their preferred provision. The allocation of a place in the resource provision will be given by the local authority SEND panel.
