Former Vernon Infant School, Poynton- Proposed disposal of (part only) playing field land
Cheshire East Council is consulting with the Poynton local community over an option which is being considered, namely the potential disposal of a parcel of playing field at The Former Vernon Infant School. Specifically, a strip of playing field which is to the rear of the Former Schools building. (Please refer to plan below).
Any playing field disposal of land on a school site requires approval by the Secretary of State under Section 77 of the School Standards and Framework Act 1998. As part of the Section 77 application process the Secretary of State requires that a period of consultation is undertaken prior to any submission.
Consultation closed- 2 August
All comments and representations received before the closing date will now be considered and reported to the Secretary of State as part of the 'Section 77' application process.
