Cheshire East Council has undertaken a sufficiency review of its special educational needs provision across the borough. In response the authority have issued a public notice regarding a proposal to expand Adelaide School by an additional 12 places.
Adelaide School caters for children aged between 9 and 18 years old with Social, Emotional and Mental Health conditions and admits pupils with Educational Health Plans through referral by the Local Authority.

September 2019 - update
Governors consider the feedback received during the consultation period and decided to progress with the expansion. They are currently awaiting approval from the Regional Schools Commissioner.
4 March 2019 - Consultation closed
Consultation on the proposed expansion of Adelaide School has now closed. The governing body will meet to considered the feedback and make a decision on whether they wish to proceed with the proposal.
