Middlewich Town Strategy
The Middlewich Town Strategy looks at how the town might develop in the future. It indicates where new employment, housing and other uses may be located, along with how new infrastructure might be prioritised.
An Advisory Stakeholder Panel, drawn from the Town Council, community partnerships, local businesses and community groups worked hard to put together their ideas on how they want to see Middlewich grow and develop over the next 20 years.
Consultation on the draft Middlewich Town Strategy took place between 2 March and 2 April 2012. All comments received were considered and the document revised accordingly. This revised document was approved at a meeting of Middlewich Town Council on 4 July 2012.
The Middlewich Town Strategy now forms part of the Cheshire East Local Plan evidence base and will inform the development of the new Local Plan. It may also be a material consideration in the determination of planning applications.

||If we are going to build all these extra houses and employment sites, it becomes essential that a rail link is created between Middlewich and the network i.e. reopening the Sandbach - Northwich line to help reduce the congestion that will otherwise be created on the roads.
||Reopen Sandbach - Northwich rail link
||Noted. The Middlewich Town Strategy supports the reopening of the Middlewich Railway Station. Facebook
