Playing pitch strategy consultation
Cheshire East Council have followed the Sport England document “Playing Pitch Strategy Guidance - An approach to developing and delivering a playing pitch strategy” (2013)
The purpose of the Playing Pitch Strategy (PPS) is to provide a strategic framework which ensures that the provision of outdoor playing pitches meet the local needs of existing and future residents within Cheshire East. The assessment will cover all the major pitch based sports as outlined by Sport England.
The consultation process
The Sport England guidance document requires that a public consultation exercise is undertaken to take account of the wider community interest. The documents published on this page are our pre-approval consultation drafts.
We will review all survey responses and consider your comments before proceeding to ratify and adopt the Cheshire East Playing Pitch Strategy.
How your feedback will be used
All of your feedback will be discussed at the PPS Steering group and incorporated into the Strategy where appropriate.
Throughout development of this Playing Pitch Strategy, the PPS team has actively engaged with the local representatives of Cheshire East’s sports clubs, their representative bodies and these sports National Governing Bodies. We have also had the support of all schools and colleges who have allowed us access to their facilities. We would like to thank all who have supported the process.
