Submission of Searches to the Local Authority
Full Local Authority Searches:
The Council will require all of the appropriate forms, an appropriate ordnance survey map and payment to be submitted to allow a search to be processed.
All plans submitted with search requests should meet the requirements set out in the Map Standard Procedure (PDF, 98KB) . Any searches submitted will be subject to the Cancellation Procedure (PDF, 119 KB).
Additional Solicitors questions which are submitted with a Full Local Authority Search, will be accepted on a case by case basis, providing the question is reasonable and staff have access to the information to provide a response. If there is another scheme in operation at the Council which provides access to this information then customers may be redirected to another department to obtain the response. For example Highways Section should be contacted in relation to lateral extent enquiries as there is a separate charging schedule for this and Development Management should be contacted direct about Discharging Planning Conditions.
