Have your say on our SEND and Educational Psychology Services
Cheshire East Council is currently consulting on proposals to restructure the SEND and Educational Psychology (EP) teams, following last year’s local area inspection. The proposals are in response to the need to improve the timeliness, process and quality of Education Health and Care Plans and EP advice.
The aim of the restructure is to create teams that have the ability to meet the needs of children and young people with SEND within statutory timescales using a family centred strengths based approach.
The restructures also aim to create additional capacity with the investment of an additional £500k across SEND services, demonstrating the commitment to ensure sufficient resources to fulfil statutory duty and better meet the needs of children and families through an improved service.
In order to manage the pressure on the service, comments are welcomed on the services/support that are most valued and have the greatest impact on children and young people in order to redefine the service offer.

Formal written responses and questions from staff, parents/carers, partners and from trade unions should be made to SendandEP@cheshireeast.gov.uk before Wednesday 10 April 2019.
