‘Employee of the Month' for Jamie on his Supported Internship
10 December 2020
Jamie is one of our fabulous interns on the Springboard Supported Internship.
The Springboard Project, is a new offering from Springfield School in Crewe and aims to support young adults (16-19 year olds) with learning difficulties into the world of work.
Jamie is currently working at KPI Recruiting as an office junior. Jamie initially had support from a one to one job coach to help him to develop his skills in the work place - this was funded through access to work as part of the supported internship. As Jamie has gained more skills and confidence in his role- this support has reduced.
Last month Jamie achieved 'Employee of the Month' and received a £40 shopping voucher- which he was delighted with. We are really proud of Jamie and his fabulous achievement. We are hopeful that he will be offered a paid job before the end of the year- he certainly deserves it…so watch this space for further updates.
A few words from Jamie...“The thing that makes KPI a good employer is that they give you good standard of training and the staff are friendly. They are helpful and caring and also, they are supportive they make me feel part of a team even though I’ve only been there for three months.
“Since I have been working there, I have felt a lot more confident in myself. I have been able to show off my computer skills. My job role at KPI is an office junior. I put the clients’ details on the system and the scan the documents and I also photocopy the pages that have not scanned and make everyone a hot drink.”
