Axis Academy School in Crewe reaches significant milestone
30 October 2019
We have a three year plan to significantly improve the number of local school places for our children with special educational needs and disabilities. We were successful in a bid to open a new special free school in Crewe for 40 pupils aged 4 – 16 with social emotional and mental health (with a focus on mental health needs).
A significant milestone was reached on the 7 August 2019 when planning permission was received for the building of our Axis Academy School. The Council and the Academy Trust are now working together via a joint funded post to identify the pupils that will attend the new special school when it opens for the 2020-21 academic year.
