Advice and support for parents and carers

Here at Cheshire East Council, every team working to support children and young people with  SEND recognises how important it is, at this unprecedented time, to provide up-to-date and relevant information, advice and support for children, young people, parents and families.

We want to let you know that your wellbeing is paramount to us at this difficult time and, accordingly, we are doing everything we can to continue to provide you with the advice and support you need.

We are also mindful that each child, young person and family is unique and will require tailored information, advice and support at different times over the coming weeks. We also want to ensure that families do not feel overwhelmed with too much information all at once.

We continue to have regular contact with the Parent Carer Forum, to ensure the information and support we are providing is helpful to you and what you need at this time.

Should you need specific information or advice about  SEND for your child/young person, there are a number of ways that you can contact us:

  • If you need specific advice about supporting your child at home, you can contact your school’s  SENCO or you can contact the Cheshire East  SEND team directly on
