The Duke of Edinburgh's Award - schools and groups
As DofE licence holders for Cheshire East, we can support any group wanting to run the Award that doesn't hold its own licence. (If you are not a member of a group, see DofE for independent participants.)
Our services are free to groups, and include a full package of support to get you up and running. If you have no experience with DofE so far, that's no problem - we'll cover everything you need to know.
We are experienced in working with diverse groups of young people, and can adapt and adjust programmes where participants have additional needs.
Certificate of achievement - Covid 19 restrictions
If restrictions mean a young person cannot complete all 4 sections of the Award but they can complete 3, they will be given a Certificate of Achievement that allows them to move up to the next level.
How we work together is up to you. We can run the scheme for you and liaise with the young people directly, or we can train your team so they can manage the day-to-day details.
When your group is ready to think about doing their expedition, we offer a complete package covering practice and qualifying expeditions at each level plus pre-expedition training.
Peace of mind
For peace of mind, check our outdoor education licences and documentation and meet the team.
Once we have agreed to work together, you can ask your young people to fill in a DofE enrolment form and make payment to you. You should then send us all the completed forms, and we will email welcome packs to each young person plus log in details for the eDofE portal where they will find everything they need to get started. We will then invoice you for the full amount for payment by BACS.
Costs per person are:
- Bronze Practice and Assessed - £80
- Silver Practice and Assessed - £150
- Gold Practice and Assessed - price on application (Approx £60 per day.)
