Family Information Service (FIS)

Family Information Service logoFIS is a free, impartial one-stop-shop service for parents, carers and young people, providing information and advice on services available throughout Cheshire East, on childcare, early education and funding. Our services cover a wide range of information on support such as counselling and special needs.

Cheshire East’s Family Information Service can be contacted by:

  • Calling at local rates 0300 123 5033 between 8.30am and 5.00pm, Monday to Thursday, 4.30pm on a Friday. An answer machine operates outside of these hours with messages collected the next working day.
  • FIS assist in taking calls for the  Cheshire East Consultation Service. If you have any immediate concerns about the safety

Parenting Journey

The Parenting Journey will support you from pregnancy until your child starts school. With a mixture of sessions from stay and plays in your children’s centre to your health visitor coming to visit you. It is a fun way for you to learn more about your baby / child’s development, speak to health and childcare professionals along with a chance to meet other parents.

New early year providers

New Early Year Providers can register their details to enable the Family Information Service to create an account on the Provider Portal.  This will enable you to promote your Childcare service and keep your information up to date on the Cheshire East Live Well directory.

Cheshire East Mobile Children's Centre
