Glorious Phantoms – Quarry Bank Mill National Trust

Date: Event running daily from Friday 16 August to Sunday 29 September 2019.

Description: 200 years after the Peterloo Massacre, two films created by artist family Gary, Grace, Hope and Merrick will inspire conversations about rights and responsibilities, freedoms and the power to create change. Shown at Quarry Bank and Dunham Massey.

The two complementary films will be on show simultaneously at Quarry Bank and Dunham Massey. An exhibition of the artistic process and Dunham and Quarry Bank's stories, research and links to Peterloo will be shown in Manchester Central Library.

Part of the National Trusts People's Landscapes programme, this art commission is funded by ACE and Art Fund - www.artfund.org - and is part of the Manchester Histories Peterloo 2019 commemoration project - www.peterloo1819.co.uk.

This art commission will be on show within the mill. Assistance dogs are welcome.

Time: 10.30am to 5.00pm.
