Early Years courses booking and online payments user guide
This page gives details about using the Early Years Courses Booking and online payments facility provided by Cheshire East Council.
The online shop provides the facility for early years providers to book and pay for courses (where applicable) by credit or debit card. If you do not have the facility to pay by card, and would like to pay by cheque, you can still book your places.
Registering to use the system
You are responsible for creating your own logon details, to create a logon for the system go to the early years courses booking system page and click on the link “register in the system here”. This will take you to the registration page.
On the registration page you will be asked for YOUR details. The details required are:
- your first name
- your surname
- your email address and you will need to enter (and confirm) your password
After you register, confirm your email address and log in. After login, you will be asked to select the provider you work for (select from the list). If your provider is not on the list please email firstname.lastname@example.org with details of the provider.
Adding and removing staff
Using the links on the local navigation menu you can add and remove people from your list of staff; if you are booking a course for somebody for the first time, you will need to add them as a member of staff.
Note: a member of staff can be associated with several providers at the same time, but their details will be kept separate, any course bookings will not be reflected in other providers details for that person. You will be unable to remove staff once training has been assigned to them.
Booking a course
When you logon to the system a list of the type of course will be displayed, click on the course category to display the courses currently available. Here you can add items into the shopping basket, increase or decrease the number of attendees or remove it altogether.
You can view the shopping basket contents at any time, and you will have the choice to proceed to the checkout or to continue shopping.
There is no need to complete one person’s transaction before moving to a different one, the basket can contain for more than one person and more than one type of course.
Paying for things
When you’ve finished adding things to your basket and it’s time to pay click on the view basket link. This will display the contents of the basket, you can increase or decrease quantities and remove things from the basket. If you’ve forgotten something you can return to continue shopping, but if you are ready to pay click on the Proceed to checkout button, this will show you a summary of your transaction. You will automatically receive an email to the registered email address confirming the course has booked.
If there is no charge for the course you booking you still need to go through the checkout procedure to confirm your booking.
Paying for things by cheque
We acknowledge that some providers do not have the facility to pay by card, so if this is the case simply select the option to pay by cheque.

Bookings will be cancelled if payment is not received in advance.
If you forget your password
Click the link on the applications logon page to get a password reminder by email.
If you change your email address
you can change your email address to the modify my details page. The change is immediate so any emails will be sent to the new address.
Refunds are only given if a course has been cancelled by Cheshire East Council. For more information email email@example.com
