Buggy Walks at South Park, Macclesfield


Come along to one of our free under 1’s Buggy Walks and join in with staff reading books and other age related activities for your baby. It’s a chance for you and your baby to meet other families, get to know each other and have fun in the great outdoors. Come rain or shine we will be walking, talking and making new friends.

Government guidelines states that new parents and child groups can continue to provide support, therefore, come and join us on our free under 1’s ‘Buggy Walks’ with a member of your local Children’s Centre team.

Places are limited due to current restrictions.

Sensory Experience

Sessions are limited and are suitable for babies under 2 and children with additional needs to enjoy our sensory equipment and resources in a quiet relaxing environment. Sessions can only be booked with people that live in your household or in your support bubble. These sessions are not led by our staff but we are on hand if you have any questions. Baby Massage

Baby massage is a lovely way to enjoy time with your baby and it can also help you bond together. Baby Massage is a 5-week course where our trained Family Service Workers will demonstrate a variety of soothing holds and rhythmic strokes. These can help your baby to feel securely attached, reduce crying and can help with discomforts such as colic. 

This virtual session will last up to 1 hour and will be carried out with a small group of parents.

Toddlers Together- Virtual



If your child is aged between 1-2 year’s, please join us for our Virtual Toddler’s Together session. Where you and your child will have the opportunity to sing, create, play and talk with a member of your local Children’s Centre. Or just log in to watch and grab some ideas for you and your child to do at a later date.

This is also a great opportunity to virtually meet other parents with similar age children.

These sessions will take place over the free Microsoft Teams app and details of this will be sent on confirmation of the place.

Babies Together - Virtual Stay and Play Session


A relaxed, fun and interactive session with lots of singing and play. You will gain new ideas for your baby as well as information on developmental milestones and ways for you to support your babies ongoing development. This is a weekly session.

Virtual Sessions will be delivered through Microsoft Teams. Instructions will be made available to support you.

 Baby and Me

Baby and Me is a virtual session, which runs over 3 weeks. The sessions last up to 1 hour and support both you and your baby.  Each session focuses on your baby’s learning and development and activities which you can do with your baby in your home. These activities include sensory play, songs and rhymes and messy play. You will also have the opportunity to meet and talk to other parents and share experiences that you are all having as you welcome your new baby.

These sessions will take place over the free Microsoft Teams app and details of this will be sent on confirmation of the place.

Parenting Journey


Parenting journey is a new universal offer for parents and carers across Cheshire East.

Delivered by Children's Centre staff and Health Visitors, Parenting Journey consists of 12 stops from pregnancy until your child start school and provides advice and support around health, your child's development and their readiness for school.

Whilst Parenting Journey sessions within the Children's Centres are currently not running, there is information available online and on the Cheshire East Parenting Journey Facebook page.

9:00 - 17:00 Monday to Thursday

9:00 - 16:30 Friday

As you visit and engage with your local children’s centre in the coming weeks, you will asked to complete a new membership form. We are using a new secure data system and need to re-register families so we can ensure we hold your most recent information that you provide to us. If you wish to receive updates going forward, you must ensure you complete your email address on the new membership form.
