Direct payment - Personal Assistant antibody testing

A COVID-19 antibody testing programme is now available to Personal Assistants employed via a Direct Payment.

What it tests for

An antibody test can tell you whether you have had Coronavirus (COVID-19) and whether your body has developed antibodies. However, there will be a small number of people who the test will not work on, even when they have had COVID-19. 

How to access an antibody test

If you are a Personal Assistant employed through a Direct Payment, you can self refer for an antibody test. Testing is available at Leighton Hospital in Crewe or the Countess of Chester Hospital. You can choose the site that is most convenient for you.

Countess of Chester

Download and complete the Countess of Chester booking form - (MS Excel, 58KB)
The booking team will call you to book a convenient slot.

Leighton hospital, Crewe (Mid Cheshire Trust)

Download and complete the Leighton booking form (MS Excel, 90KB).
You will be sent an email link to register on the system and book your appointment.

What you need to take to the appointment

You should print and sign the 'Consent form' on the last page of the Antibody testing FAQs (MS Word, 56KB). You must take this with you to your appointment.

If you are attending Leighton Hospital, you will also need to print and bring the form which is emailed to you as confirmation of your appointment.

How you receive your results

How you receive your results will vary depending on where you have your test. It is most likely to be via a text message to your mobile phone within 7 days.
