Free parking is available in the large car park opposite the library every day except Thursdays (market day) and Autumn Wakes Weekend.

What's new?

New craft group for adults

On Thursday 21 March we are launching a Knit and Natter group. It will meet on the third Thursday of each month at 2.00-3.00pm. Bring along your own knitting, crochet, sewing or craft project and chat awhile.

One You advice desk

On Friday 22 March Victoria from one You Cheshire East will be here to provide free health advice between 10.00am and 12.00 noon.

Family rhymetime

Join us on Saturday 6 April at 10.30am for half an hour of rhymes and songs. Suitable for young children and their parent/carer. Free; no need to book.

Easter treasure hunt

We have a character hunt around the library from Monday 8 until Saturday 20 April, based on the book, Poppy and Sam's Easter Egg Hunt. Completed entries will go into a prize draw! 

Crafts for kids

Join us on Monday 8 April at 2.30-3.30pm and have a go at making a kite! Suitable for children aged 4-11 years. £2.00 per child; booking essential.

Robot workshop

On Tuesday 9 April at 10.00-11.30am learn how to build and program a LEGO Mindstorm EV3 robot and create a circuit to test your robotic skills in our fun workshop. Suitable for children aged 7 and over. Free, but please book as places are limited.

Easter crafts for kids

Come along on Wednesday 17 April between 2.00 and 3.00pm and have a go at various crafts with an Easter theme. £1.00 per craft. Drop-in event.

Easter bank holidays

The library will be closed on the 19 and 22 April for Good Friday and Easter Monday.

IT Buddy

There is an IT Buddy available to help with computer basics, including email and browsing the internet. £2.50 per hour. Please contact the library for details and to book a place.

  • Book Lovers Group - 2.00-3.00pm - second Monday of the month. Share your love of reading, meet people and enjoy a drink and a chat
  • Reading Group - 7.00pm - monthly. Annual fee of around £10 per person. Contact Rowena at the library for details of the next meeting
  • Under 5s Storytime - 10.30-11.00am - Weekly in term time only. Join us for stories old and new! Children must be accompanied by a parent or carer


  • Baby Bounce - 2.00-2.30pm- weekly in term time only. Free. Suitable for babies from 0 to walking age only
  • Mini Builders - 10.30-11.00am - weekly during term time only. Free activity for preschool children using Duplo


  • LEGO Club - 3.30pm - weekly. Free, drop-in session
  • Sandbach Readers - 6.45-8.00pm - Meet first and third Wednesday of the month. New members welcome
  • Under 5s Rhymetime - 10.30-11.00 - weekly. Children must be accompanied by a parent or carer

Free drop-in service for information and advice on Wednesdays between 1.00pm and 4.00pm. (We start to give out number cards at 12.45, only four clients will be seen).

Macmillan Help Desk

There is a staffed help desk in the library on alternate Wednesday mornings.


Pilates class in the library every Tuesday at 10.45-11.45am.


University of the Third Age advice desk is available on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of the month, between 9.30am and 11.30am. The U3A Information Board is available inside the library building.
