Letter to Santa
Children can pick up a letter template at the library between Saturday 23 November and Saturday 14 December. Then, write a letter to Santa and post it in our Christmas post box and they may get a magical reply!
Christmas slime
On Saturday 7 December call in between 10.00 and 12.00 noon to make Christmas slime. Suitable for children aged 4 and over. £1.00 a go. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
Christmas rhymetime
On Wednesday 11 December at 10.30am, we have a festive rhymetime. £1.00 per child; please book as places are limited.
Christmas music
On Monday 16 December at 2.00-4.00pm, relax and listen to Christmas music performed by a brass quartet. Free; no need to book. Festive refreshments available.
Christmas crafts for tots
On Wednesday 18 December we have Christmas crafts for tots at 10.30-11.30am. This replaces our regular rhymetime session that day. £1.00 per craft; please book in advance.
Cosy up for Christmas
Get in the mood for Christmas on Wednesday 18 December at 5.30pm, as we share Christmas rhymes and stories, all cosy in our pj’s. There will be hot chocolate too! Family friendly event. £1.00 per adult; 50p per child. Limited places, so booking is essential. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
LED Christmas card making
On Thursday 19 December at 10.30-11.30am, we're making Christmas cards with LED lights. Suitable for children aged 7 and over. £2.50 per child. Please book as places are limited. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
Christmas crafts
On Saturday 21 December call in between 10.00 and 12.00 noon to make some last minute Christmas crafts. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
Christmas and New Year opening hours
Please note that the library will close at 1.00pm on Tuesday 24 December for Christmas Eve, and will re-open at 9.00am on Friday 27 December. The library will also be closed on New Year's Day.
IT Buddy
There is an IT Buddy available to help with computer basics, including email and browsing the internet. £2.50 per hour. Please contact the library for details and to book a place.

Monday
- Under 5s Storytime - 10.30-11.00am - Weekly. Join us for stories old and new! Children must be accompanied by a parent or carer
Tuesday
- Baby Bounce - 2.00-2.30pm- weekly in term time only. Free. Suitable for babies from 0 to walking age only. Children must be accompanied by a parent or carer
- Mini Builders - 10.30-11.00am - weekly. Free activity for preschool children using Duplo. Children must be accompanied by a parent or carer
Wednesday
- Reading Group - 7.00pm - monthly. Annual fee of around £10 per person. Contact Rowena at the library for details of the next meeting
- Sandbach Readers - 6.45-8.00pm - Meet first and third Wednesday of the month. New members welcome
- Under 5s Rhymetime - 10.30-11.00 - weekly. Children must be accompanied by a parent or carer. Please note, there will be no rhymetime on 18 December, but we will have Christmas crafts for Tots instead
Thursday
- Book Lovers Group - 2.00pm - monthly on the third Thursday of each month
- Story Book Art - 9.30-10.30am - weekly. Listen to a story and then do a fun craft with Sandbach Art Room. £3.00 per child; no need to book in advance. Refreshments and all materials provided. Children must be accompanied by an adult
Friday
- Let's Meet on a Friday - weekly - A range of activities each month, usually at 10.00-12 noon or 10.30-11.30am

Cheshire East Citizens Advice outreach service
Free drop-in service for information and advice on Wednesdays between 1.00pm and 4.00pm. (We start to give out number cards at 12.45, only four clients will be seen).
Macmillan Help Desk
There is a staffed help desk in the library on alternate Wednesday mornings.
Pilates
Pilates class in the library every Tuesday at 10.45-11.45am.
U3A
University of the Third Age advice desk is available on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of the month, between 9.30am and 11.30am. The U3A Information Board is available inside the library building.
