Platinum Jubilee bank holidays

The library will be closed on Thursday 2 June and Friday 3 June for the Queen's Platinum Jubilee bank holidays.

Home Library Service

If you love books, but find it hard to access the library, then the Home Library Service might be for you. We can choose books according to your preferences and deliver them to you at home. We will also collect and return books for you.

We can provide large print and audio books and this is a free service with no additional charges for reservations. Please contact the library for further information.

  • Wych to Read Next? - 2.30 - 3.30pm - bi-monthly, usually on the first and third Tuesday of each month. Join our light reading and discussion group. Short stories and poetry. Free, drop-in event

Thursday

  • Learn my Way - 10.00 - 12.00 noon - weekly. Want to improve your computer skills? Whether you want to learn online basics, how to use a computer or digital device, internet skills, online safety, how to improve your health online, find a job online, manage your money online, or how to access public services online, there's a Learn my Way course available. Contact the library to book a free self-guided learning course; staff on hand to help
  • Stories and Songs - 10.00 - 10.30am - weekly. Stories, rhymes and activities for pre-school children and their grown-ups. Great for active toddlers – sitting is optional!  Free; no need to book in advance

Friday

  • British Sign Language - 10.00am onwards - fortnightly. Join our BSL basics signing group and learn a new skill. All adult beginners welcome. Free, drop-in event. Contact the library for dates

Saturday

  • Crafter-days - 10.30 -12 .30pm - monthly. £2.50 includes all materials and refreshments. Contact the library for forthcoming dates. On Saturday 4 June, we have a special free Jubilee Crafter-day event. Make a fabric brooch and enjoy tea and cakes. Over 12s only, unless accompanied by an adult
  • Lego Club – 11.00 - 12.00 noon – every 4 weeks. Free, drop-in event. No need to book, just bring your imagination and a grown up! Mega Bloks are available for little ones. Forthcoming dates are 28 May with a Royal Castles theme; then 25 June, 23 July and 20 August
