What's New?

Mini Makers is back!

Try out different STEM activities in a fun environment. Suitable for kids aged 7—11. Activities will include build challenges, crafting, coding and much more. Places are free but limited, so please book in advance. The next session will take place on Monday 18 October at 4.00 - 5.00pm. Contact the library for more information or to register for the session.

Get Online Week, 18 - 23 October 2021

Throughout the week, the library team will be offering free advice and guidance concerning all digital platforms Cheshire East Libraries offer. These include Borrow Box and Libby, our e-book, e-audio book and e-magazine providers. These are free to use for all Cheshire East Library members. Just drop in between 10:00 - 12:00 noon and 2.00 - 4.00pm daily to see the staff on their helpdesk and find the help you need to access your library online.

In addition, our Learn My Way Sessions will resume from Tuesday 19 October at 2.00 - 4.00pm. These will be run fortnightly by library staff. Old and new members all welcome.

Luminate holiday activities

We’ve got some really exciting workshops over the October half-term. Crewe families are invited to create their very own Minecraft-inspired paper torch, which will light up at the touch of a button.

There are several workshops throughout the week as part of the Luminate Project, funded by Arts Council England and facilitated by our friends Mako Create. Suitable for children aged 5-11, accompanied by at least one parent/guardian. Places are free but limited, so please book in advance. Contact the library for further details.

Work Hub at Crewe Library

The Springboard Work Hub is offering an appointment based service on Tuesdays. There are 30 minute appointments available between 10.00am and 4.00pm. You can book an appointment via the Springboard website, or you can email or call Lynne Singleton on 07580 722 042.

You can choose a face to face, telephone or Zoom appointment, and the careers advisors are able to support you with:

  • IT Buddy - 1.30 - 4.30pm - weekly. Contact the library to book a free 1-hour session with our IT Buddy
  • Monday Funday - 10.00 - 10.30am - weekly. Please ring or email the library for further information or to book your space


  • Learn My Way - 2.00 - 4.00pm - fortnightly, from Tuesday 19 October. Work your way through short online courses with help from library staff. Topics range from computer basics to a online banking, shopping and more. Contact us for details
  • Let's LEGO - 4.00 - 5.00pm - on first and third Tuesday of each month. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Free. Places are limited so please book in advance.


  • Baby Bounce - weekly, during term time only - 10.00-10.30am. Suitable for children aged 12 months and under. Spaces are limited and must be booked in advance. Please ring or email the library for further information or to book your space


  • Games Club - 2.00 - 4.00pm - fortnightly. Open to adults who like board games, jigsaws and card games. Refreshments available. Contact the library for dates


  • Rhymetime - 11.00 - 11.30am - weekly. Suitable for children aged 5 and under. Spaces are limited and must be booked in advance. Please ring or email the library for further information or to book your space
