Lion Salt Works talk
On Thursday 2 May at 2.30pm, Mike Tingle offers an insight into the famous Lion Salt Works. Until 1986, this was the UK's last open-pan salt works. Hear about its history and £10 million renovation, and learn how various grades of salt were produced for a variety of uses at home and across the world. Free; donations to the Salt Works welcome. All welcome, no need to book.
Dementia Action Week display
Pop into the library during May and colour in a blue and yellow forget-me-not for our window display to mark Dementia Action Week, 20-26 May.

We're going on a bear hunt
Join us for storytime and a bear hunt on Wednesday 29 May at 10.30am and meet Mr Bookstart Bear! Free; no need to book. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

The group meets in the library on the last Wednesday of the month at 7.30-9.30pm. Bringing together people who enjoy any aspect of horticulture; be it gardening, growing to show, listening to talks, visiting gardens and much more. Congleton History Society
The group meets in the library on the second Wednesday of the month at 7.30-9.00pm, from September to May. Meetings typically feature talks by members or visiting speakers. We aim to encourage research and interest in local history and historical subjects in general. Visitors are welcome. £3.00 per meeting, or become a member for just £8.00 per year. There is a representative from Macmillan in the library every fortnight on a Wednesday. Drop in between 10.00am and 12.00 noon for advice on treatments, benefits, support groups and more. Contact the library for dates.
Police Community Support Officer
The local Police Community Support Officer will hold a surgery in the library once a month. Please contact the library for details of the next visit. Next dates are Saturdays 18 and 25 May at 11.00-1.00pm.
