Children's storytime

Join us for storytime on Saturday 25 May at 10.00-10.30am. Suitable for families with toddlers and pre-school children. Free event. 

Chester Zoo visit

On Wednesday 29 May at 11.00-12.00 noon, Chester Zoo will be paying us a special visit. Free, but please book in advance as places are limited. Suitable for children aged 5 and over, who must be accompanied by an adult.

Stockley Farm visit

On Thursday 30 May at 10.30-11.30am, meet some of the owls from Stockley Farm. £4.00 per child; please book as places are limited. Suitable for children aged 5 and over, who must be accompanied by an adult. 

PCSO advice desk

Meet your local PCSO on Saturday 1 June. Just call in between 10.00 and 12.00 noon.

Pyjamarama rhymetime

On Wednesday 5 June at 10.00am we're celebrating Bookstart Pyjamarama Week with a rhymetime for babies, toddlers and pre-school children. Free; no need to book.

LEGO club

On Tuesday 11 June at 11.00-12.00 noon we have a LEGO Club for home educated children. Free, drop-in event.

Mini Makers

Are you aged 7-11 and would like to try out different STEM activities in a fun environment. Then this is the club for you! Book a free place for Tuesday 18 and Tuesday 25 June at 4.00-5.00pm.

We also have a Mini Makers for home educated children on Tuesday 25 June at 1.30-2.30pm. Contact the library to book a free place. 

IT Buddy sessions

Our IT Buddy is available for one-to-one sessions to help with basic computer skills. Sessions must be booked in advance and there is a £2.50 charge. Please contact the library for more information.

Tuesday

  • Book club for adults - 11.00-12.00 noon - monthly on first Tuesday of each month. Contact the library for further details. Next date is 4 June
  • Book club for adults - 6.00-7.00pm - Contact the library for further details. Next dates are 4 and 18 June
  • LEGO Club - 4.00-5.00pm - monthly on second Tuesday of each month. Suitable for primary aged children, who must be accompanied by an adult. Free. Next date is 11 June
  • Mini Makers - 4.00-5.30pm - monthly. The club is suitable for children aged 7-11 who have an interest in trying out different STEM activities in a fun environment. Activities will include build challenges, crafting, coding and much more. Places are free but limited, so please book in advance. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Contact the library for dates.
  • Storytime - 10.00-10.30am - weekly. Suitable for babies, toddlers and pre-school children, who must be accompanied by an adult

Thursday

  • Ancestry and Find my Past online family history basics. £3.50 per hour. One-to-one sessions available. Please book in advance
  • Story and Tea for adults - 2.00-3.00pm - monthly on first Thursday of each month. Join us for reading and refreshments, and share your love of books. Very informal. No charge, and all adults welcome. Next date is 6 June

Friday

  • Children's Book Club - 3.45-4.45pm - monthly. Free, but please book. Suitable for children aged 7 years and over. Please contact the library for further details and dates. Next date is 14 June
  • Rhymetime for the under 5s - 10.00-10.30 weekly. Suitable for babies, toddlers and pre-school children, who must be accompanied by a parent or carer.

Writers group

Local author, Nik Perring, leads the library writing group on Tuesday evenings. The group meets weekly at 5.30-7.00pm. New members are always welcome. There is a charge per session. Please contact the library for further details.
