What's new?

Gruffalo and friends

Join us on Saturday 23 March for a Gruffalo and friends storytime at 10.00-10.30am. Suitable for families with toddlers and pre-schoolers. Crafts will be available after Storytime; 50p per child. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Easter hunt

Pop in between Friday 5 April and Saturday 20 April to find the Easter pictures hidden around the library. Free children's activity. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

LEGO afternoon

Drop in between 12.00 noon and 5.00pm on Tuesday 9 April for an afternoon of free LEGO fun. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Easter crafts

On Thursday 11 April at 10.00-4.00pm we have Easter craft activities for children. £2.00 per child; drop-in event. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Easter bank holidays

The library will be closed on the 19 April for Good Friday.

Bear Hunt storytime

On Saturday 20 April at 10.00-10.30am we're celebrating 30 years of the picture book, We're all Going on a Bear Hunt. Join us for a storytime suitable for families with toddlers and pre-school children. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Everything you ever wanted to know about reading groups but were afraid to ask

If you are interested in reading groups and would like to know more then come along on Tuesday 21 May at 11.00-12.00 noon. If you are already in a reading group and looking for new members please contact the library if you would like to take part. This is a Bollington Festival event. 

IT Buddy sessions

Our IT Buddy is available for one-to-one sessions to help with basic computer skills. Sessions must be booked in advance and there is a £2.50 charge. Please contact the library for more information.

Tuesday

  • Book club for adults - 11.00-12.00 noon - monthly on first Tuesday of each month. Contact the library for further details. Next date is 2 April
  • Book club for adults - 6.00-7.00pm - Contact the library for further details. Next dates are 2 and 16 April
  • LEGO Club - 4.00-5.00pm - monthly on second Tuesday of each month. Suitable for primary aged children, who must be accompanied by an adult. Free
  • Mini Makers - 4.00-5.30pm - monthly. The club is suitable for children aged 7-11 who have an interest in trying out different STEM activities in a fun environment. Activities will include build challenges, crafting, coding and much more. Places are free but limited, so please book in advance. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Contact the library for dates.
  • Storytime - 10.00-10.30am - weekly. Suitable for babies, toddlers and pre-school children, who must be accompanied by an adult

Wednesday

  • Rhymetime for the under 5s - 10.00-10.30 weekly. Suitable for babies, toddlers and pre-school children, who must be accompanied by a parent or carer

Thursday

  • Ancestry and Find my Past online family history basics. £3.50 per hour. One-to-one sessions available. Please book in advance
  • Story and Tea for adults - 2.00-3.00pm - monthly on first Thursday of each month. Join us for reading and refreshments, and share your love of books. Very informal. No charge, and all adults welcome. Next date is 4 April

Friday

  • Children's Book Club - 3.45-4.45pm - monthly. Free, but please book. Suitable for children aged 7 years and over. Please contact the library for further details and dates

Writers group

Local author, Nik Perring, leads the library writing group on Tuesday evenings. The group meets weekly at 5.30-7.00pm. New members are always welcome. There is a charge per session. Please contact the library for further details.
