Parks and open spaces

Knutsford - the moor

There is a wealth of recreational opportunities across the whole of Cheshire East just waiting for you to explore and the good news is, you could be a healthier, happier, fitter person if you do! You'll find parks and smaller neighbourhood play areas, open spaces of all sizes and, of course, our playing fields and sports facilities. There will be something for you, whatever your age.

Dogs welcome

Well behaved dogs are welcome. Remove any mess, keep your dog under control and no fouling on play surfaces please.

If you are interested in holding an event at one of our parks or open spaces, see our guidance on holding an event on council land or property.

Cheshire East parks strategy

See our approved Municipal Parks Strategy (PDF, 953KB) which provides guiding principles for the future management and development of our municipal parks to ensure they meet the needs and aspirations of our residents.

Playing pitch and indoor built facilities strategies

Cheshire East Council has engaged with Sport England and a range of sports National Governing Bodies about outdoor and indoor sports facilities and what will be required to meet future needs.

Full information is available on our Playing pitch and indoor built facilities strategies page.
