Common Allocation Policy 2018 Consultation

The Common Allocation Policy is the way the Council and our partners allocate social housing. The central aim of the policy is to ensure that all social housing is allocated fairly and objectively to those in the greatest housing need, having regard to any legislative requirements.

We are now reviewing and updating our Policy for the allocation of social housing, in order to meet the requirements of the Homelessness Reduction Act 2017, which comes into force on 03 April 2018. All social housing tenants and residents awaiting allocation are advised to check as to how the changes may affect them.

Have your say

The period of consultation is for 6 weeks, from 27 February until 5pm on 10 April 2018. To take part please visit Draft Allocation Policy Consultation.
