Traffic regulation order, Ludlow Avenue and Stanhope Avenue, Crewe

Notice of proposal Cheshire East Borough Council (Ludlow Avenue and Stanhope Avenue, Crewe) (prohibition and restriction of waiting) order 2019.

  1. Notice is hereby given that the Cheshire East Borough Council proposes to make an Order under Sections 1, 2 and 4, and Part III of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, (“the 1984 Act”) and all other enabling powers and in accordance with its duty under Section 122 of the 1984 Act.

The effect of the Order which will come in to operation on the 7 June  2019 will be;

a)

  • Ludlow Avenue (Northern carriageway, South East Side) - Between a point 10 metres south west and a point 10 metres north east of its junction with Stanhope Avenue
  • Ludlow Avenue (Southern carriageway, North West Side) – From its junction with Stanhope Avenue, for a distance of 10 metres in a north easterly direction.

  • Stanhope Avenue – From its junction with the northern carriageway of Ludlow Avenue for a distance of 10 metres in a south easterly direction.

  • Stanhope Avenue – From its junction with the southern carriageway of Ludlow Avenue for a distance of 10 metres in a north easterly direction

b)

  • to introduce a restriction of waiting by vehicles between 10am and 4pm, Monday to Friday on the following lengths and sides of roads:-

  • Ludlow Avenue (Northern carriageway, North West Side) – Between the projected centreline of its junction with Stanhope Avenue and its most south westerly extremity. 

  • Ludlow Avenue (Northern carriageway, North West Side) – Between a point 10 metres south west of its junction with Stanhope Avenue and its most south westerly extremity.

  1. A copy of the Order, a map showing the restricted area, a statement of reasons for making the order, a copy of this public notice and a copy of the public notice of the proposal to make the order may be examined during the usual office hours at the offices of Cheshire East Borough Council at:

  1. Any person who desires to question the validity of the Order or any of its provisions on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Act, or any requirement of the Act or any instrument made under the Act has not been complied with, that person may, within 6 weeks from the date on which the Order is made, apply for the purpose to the High Court.
