Accidents at work

It is estimated that 1.6 million accidents occur each year in the workplace with a cost to industry of around £700m. It is important to identify the cause of accidents so they can be prevented in future to reduce injury, ill-health and costs to businesses.

Businesses should investigate accidents in their workplace so that they can take steps to reduce the risk of them happening again.
