Council provides supermarket vouchers during half term for children who receive free school meals

Cheshire East Council are offering supermarket e-vouchers over half term for families with children who are eligible for free school meals.
If you need this support, or are working with families that do, you can complete a request online or email firstname.lastname@example.org with the following information:
- Name of the parent/carer
- Name(s) of the child/children
- Name of the school
- Date of birth of each child
- Home address
- Contact number and ideally an email address to receive the e-voucher (for those families who do not have an email address alternative arrangements can be made).
Councillor Kathryn Flavell, Cheshire East Council cabinet member for children and families said: “Cheshire East Council is committed to helping our most vulnerable children and families.
“Our children’s social care team and family support service continue to work tirelessly to support those who need our help during the current pandemic.
“We are fortunate to have fantastic communities in Cheshire East from businesses, schools, town and parish councils and the community, voluntary and faith sector who are all working with us to support the most vulnerable in our borough, and I thank them for all they are doing to respond to the recent government announcement regarding free school meals.
“If anyone finds themselves in a crisis over half term, we have arrangements in place to provide supermarket vouchers, so please complete our online form, contact us at email@example.com or visit www.cheshireeast.gov.uk/covid19.
