Say ‘hi’ to a great time out

It's been an extremely challenging couple of years for businesses and our local night-time economy has suffered in particular. With Covid-19 restrictions easing, it’s time to show them some support. Let’s say ‘hi’ to our hospitality and entertainment venues properly again and remember to stay safe while having fun!

Welcome back design gold and green

Before you head out, make sure you’re vaccinated. Love life, stop Covid - let’s look after each other by staying safe.

Stay safe while you’re having fun

The last two years have provided our local businesses operating in the night-time economy with a great deal of challenges, which is why we are encouraging you to get out and support our local bars, restaurants, cinemas and theatres in a safe manner.

We can all have a happier and healthier spring if we use our local towns responsibly – and continue to wear face masks in busy indoor areas.

Say 'hi' to the night life

We’ve made a series of 11 short films encouraging people to enjoy the night life at each of our eleven towns – we hope you enjoy them.

Support our night-time economy

We’ve come a long way since the gradual easing of lockdown restrictions began in the spring of 2021 and we want to continue to support our local economy in 2022.

Our regulatory services team is continuing to offer guidance and support to businesses. If you have any questions or concerns, our officers are here to help.

To support hospitality businesses, we have amended our temporary pavement licence, making it free for businesses to apply. The licences, also known as ‘alfresco licences’, are valid until September 2022 and grant permission to set up temporary outside seating on pavements.
