Regular COVID-19 testing for everyone without symptoms

About 1 in 3 people with COVID-19 do not have any symptoms and could be spreading the virus without realising.

You should do a rapid test twice a week (every 3 to 4 days) to check if you have the virus. If you test positive and self-isolate, it helps stop the virus spreading.

How to get regular rapid tests

Go to a test site

We have the following walk-in testing sites available from Monday 29 November 2021 onwards.

Visiting a walk-in test site has the advantage that tests are completed sooner and results are received quickly.

You do not need an appointment to get a rapid test. At the following sites you can:

  • Get a Rapid result – Lateral Flow Tests
  • Collect Home Test kits  LFT
  • Collect Home Test kits ( PCR ) for people with symptoms.
  • Due to rising Covid-19 cases, we will have mobile testing vehicles across the borough this week some will be offering and completing  PCR tests for people with symptoms as well as regular Lateral Flow Tests ( LFT for those without symptoms.
  • The mobile test sites listed below are Cheshire East Council testing service (Swab Squad) mobile testing vans, to see a full a list of mobile testing sites operating this week (including NHS mobile test units) visit our mobile testing sites page for latest information.

Report your test results

You should report your home test results every time you use a rapid lateral flow test kit, as soon as possible after you get the result. Where relevant you should also immediately inform your employer or school. You cannot report a result more than 24 hours after taking a test.

Reporting your results helps to ensure that infection rates in Cheshire East can be monitored and we can work to prevent and reduce the spread of the virus in our communities.
