Central Cheshire Buddy Scheme - Allotments ProjectIf your voluntary or community group is looking for funding, then Cheshire East Council may be able to offer the financial assistance you require. The Council is looking to support projects, activities and events which will improve the quality of life for local communities.

Please read through the application form, along with the Policy for the Allocation of Community Grants and the application guidance notes before fully completing your application.

If you do not supply all of the information requested your application will be rendered incomplete and will not be considered. You can either apply online or complete a word version of the application form and return it using the contact details on the form.

To apply for a community grant your group must have a constitution, safeguarding policy and bank account.  If you require assistance in writing a constitution or safeguarding policy, you can contact the group development team at  CVS Cheshire East. You may also find the  Ten Steps to Writing a Constitution guidance and the  CVS Policies and Procedures web pages helpful.

CategoryFunding amountDescription
Facilities Up to £5,000 Any buildings used for community purposes, open space areas, play areas.
Activities Up to £1,000 Activities which contribute to the development and wellbeing of the community and are ongoing throughout the year.
Events Up to £1,000 Events that are classed as one- off annual events which benefit whole communities and include these communities in the organisation and planning of events.

Closing dates for community grant applications

Closing dates for community grant applications are always the last Friday of March, June, September and December each year as follows:

  • 30 March 2018
  • 29 June 2018
  • 28 September 2018
  • 28 December 2018
