Notice of proposal

Cheshire East Borough Council (off-street parking places) (consolidated) order 2015 (variation no.6) order 2020

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Cheshire East Borough Council proposes to make the above Order in exercise of its powers under Sections 32 and 35 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the Act”), and of all other enabling powers, and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act.

The effect of the proposed Order would be to amend the Cheshire East Borough Council (Off-Street Parking Places) (Consolidated) Order 2015 (‘the Original Order’) by removing reference to Rope Walk Car Park, Congleton from the list of Parking Places within Congleton as set out in Schedule of the Original Order. The effect of the proposed Order would be to remove the land known as Rope Walk Car Park, Congleton from the remit of control under the provisions of the Original Order.

In accordance with the Traffic Orders Procedure (Coronavirus) (Amendment) (England) Regulations 2020 copies of the proposed Order, a plan showing the restricted area to which the proposed Order relates, a copy of the Original Order and a statement of reasons can be viewed at Car parks and parking public notices.

Any objection or other representation relating to the proposed Order should be made in writing; all objections must specify the grounds on which they are made. Objections and other representations should be sent, marked for the attention of the:
