Wilmslow Business Improvement District (BID) – notice of ballot
Wilmslow Town Centre Management Group is proposing that a Business Improvement District (BID) is introduced in Wilmslow town centre.
The proposal for a BID sets out a business led, five-year programme of investment in Wilmslow town centre, starting on 1 November 2022.
This would be governed and directed by a board of eligible businesses and organisations from across Wilmslow town centre.

A ballot is being held on these proposals and will remain open until 5pm on 25 August 2022.
The ballot will be conducted entirely by post by the ballot holder's agent, UK Engage of Image House, 10 Acorn Business Park, Heaton Lane, Stockport SK4 1AS.
Ballot papers will be sent to those eligible to vote on Wednesday 27 July 2022 and will need to be returned by no later than 5pm on Thursday 25 August 2022 (the "day of the ballot").
Arrangements for the ballot
Eligible voters will be the non-domestic ratepayers who are liable for the BID levy as at the date of this notice and is entitled to have one vote in respect of each property occupied or (if unoccupied) owned by them in the geographical area of the proposed BID.
You may appoint someone else to vote on your behalf (for example, if you are going to be away at the time of the ballot). Applications to appoint a proxy must be submitted to the ballot holder's agent, UK Engage, at the above address no later than 5pm on Monday 15 August 2022. An application for the appointment of a proxy must be made in writing.
