Publication Scheme
Every public authority subject to the Freedom of Information Act
2000 (FOI) is required to adopt and maintain a publication scheme.
A publication scheme is a commitment to routinely and proactively
provide information to the public. A publication scheme
contains seven classes of information, they are;
- Who we are and what we do
- What we spend and how we spend it
- What our priorities are and how we are doing
- How we make decisions
- Our policies and procedures
- Lists and registers
- The services we offer
Cheshire East Council was invested on the 1st April 2009. Where
possible links have been made to information that is listed in the
model publication scheme for local authorities produced by the
Information Commissioner. In some instances information may not yet
exist or may refer to the four authorities that amalgamated to form
the new council.
Wherever possible information will be provided on our website.
Where it is impracticable to make information available on the
website or when an individual does not wish to access the
information in this way, we will indicate how information can be
obtained by other means.
In certain circumstances information may only be available by
viewing in person. Where this is specified contact details will be
provided and an appointment can be made within a reasonable
timescale.
Information that existed on the former borough and former
county websites.
If you are looking for information that was available on the
pre-CheshireEast authority websites, you may find it useful to
visit the National Archives 'Waybackmachine' to view archived
versions of these sites as they have now been decommissioned.
Please choose from the following links which will present you with
a range of archived versions covering a number of years.
Choose the period that interests you and then explore the site.
