Flying the Flag for Cheshire East

Flags were hoisted today (Wednesday 1 April)
outside council offices as the new Cheshire East Council was
launched.
Chief Executive Erika Wenzel and Leader Wesley
Fitzgerald did the honours at the authority’s new headquarters,
Westfields, Sandbach. In Macclesfield, Cabinet Member for
Prosperity Cllr Jamie Macrae was joined by Strategic Director
People, John Nicholson, and staff from various different Town
Hall-based departments to fly the flag (pictured above), whilst at
Crewe Municipal Buildings, Councillors Brian Silvester and Roland
Domleo, and John
Colclough, Senior Manager Adult Services, were the trio performing
the duty.
