Waste and Recycling Performance Statistics
Recycling performance figures for the Council are produced by
the amalgamation of figures from kerbside recycling collected from
your home with figures for recycling recorded at the Council's
Household Waste Recycling Centres. These figures are audited
annually and published by central
government as a recycling figure for the Council. 2009/10 are
the latest audited figures available for Cheshire East Council. As
Cheshire East Council only came in to being on the 1 April 2009
figures quoted pre 2009/10 relate to the former authorities.
Again the Best in the North West - Congratulations
Cheshire East's recycling rate is the best for all
Councils in the North West of England, for the second year in a
row, with a recycling rate of 49%
Recycling rates at the Council's Household Waste Recycling
Centres have increased again in 2010-11 from 73% to 75%
