Community and Flexible Transport Services

Throughout Cheshire East, including its rural areas, Cheshire East Council promotes many different community, voluntary and flexible transport services, these include services for people with disabilities or for people who live in rural areas where there are no bus services and who do not have access to a private car to make their journey. Most services are operated with fully accessible vehicles.

Olympic Torch Relay 31st May 2012 Travel Disruption to all Bus Services

To allow the Torch Relay to pass through safely a large number of roads will be closed. This will cause major disruption to the bus network between 07:00 and approximately 12:00.

Bus users are advised to make alternative travel arrangements wherever possible as it is unlikely bus services will be able to operate to their scheduled timetables, and temporary timetables will not be in operation.

Please expect major delays to bus journeys whilst roads are closed and for some time after the roads open.
