Bus Shelters and Stops

Bus Shelters and Stops Responsibility

Responsibility for the maintenance of a bus shelter can fall with either Cheshire East Council or the Parish Council, depending on which authority provides and owns it.

Cheshire East Council has a contract with a company to install, clean and maintain all of Cheshire East Council owned bus shelters. Parish Councils have various similar arrangements for their own bus shelters.

Damage to Bus Shelters or Bus Stops including faulty lighting

Help us to help you - if you notice any damage to your bus stop or the lights are not working please contact us by using the Bus Stop Infrastructure and Timetable Display Reporting Form

Fix My Transport

Passengers can also make a report using the new independent Fix My Transport Service when out and about using their mobile.

New Bus Stop Requests or upgrades to existing stops

Requests for new stops or for existing stops to be upgraded can be made direct to Cheshire East Transport or to your local Town or Parish Council or to your local Councillor.

On Street Bus Stop Frames

You can find bus stop timetable displays at over 1121 bus stops in Cheshire East.

Where possible we endeavour to update the displays in the frame the day before a service change; although this can be a few days either side on occasion.

Each display has a date at the top to show when it was last updated.
