Bus Shelters and Stops
Responsibility for the maintenance of a bus shelter can fall
with either Cheshire East Council or the Parish Council, depending
on which authority provides and owns it. Cheshire East Council has
a contract with a company to install, clean and maintain all
of Cheshire East Council owned bus shelters. Parish Councils
have various similar arrangements for their own bus shelters.

CCTV in Bus Shelters
Cheshire East Council has implemented CCTV surveillance equipment
within a number of council owned bus shelters. Aims of the scheme
are to reduce vandalism and help address problems of nuisance,
anti-social behaviour and to recover the costs of repair from the
perpetrators, wherever possible.
