Cheshire Railings
The black and white iron fencing at road junctions and bends is
a unique and distinctive feature of the county's highway landscape
dating back to 1929. Time and road accidents have unfortunately
taken their toll.
A number of possible sources to fund refurbishment works on the
railings may be available. Joint funding partnerships will be given
priority - early contact with the Highways Service is
essential.
