Bicycle Victoria -
are Australia's largest cycling organisation but there's
plenty of good information here for those of us in the UK.
Bikely -
this website provides an easy-to-use way for all types of cyclists
to share route information.
British Cycling -
is the internationally recognised governing body for cycling in
Great Britain - BMX, Cycle Speedway, Cyclo-Cross, Mountain Bike,
Road and Track plus information for disabled cyclists. Go Ride is
their cycling programme for young people.
British Helmet Initiative Trust (BHIT)

aims to promote the wearing of bicycle helmets by the under 16 age
group on a national scale.
British Waterways -
have details of canals and rivers that provide over 1,500 miles of
towpaths around the country, although not all towpaths are suitable
for cycling. Each waterway manager has made an assessment of the
suitability of each stretch, and this information is contained in
the local schedules or from the local waterways offices.
Byways Breaks -

has tons of cycling information and a forum.
Cycling Projects (formerly
the Cycle Project for the North West) -
has information on several projects - 'Bikelinks' help Community
Groups start cycling projects. 'Cycle Life Style' work with young
people, Primary Care Trusts and people with disabilities. 'Wheels
for All' provide cycling opportunities for anyone who isn't able to
manage a two-wheeled bike, for what ever reason.
Eureka Cyclists Cafe

and is famous as one of the few 'cyclists cafes' in the world.

is a cycling programme for young people run by the governing body
for the sport British Cycling.
Highway Code -
has the legal requirements for all road users, including
cyclists.
Royal Society for the Prevention of
Accidents (RoSPA) -
is a registered charity providing information, advice, resources
and training. They are actively involved in the promotion of safety
in all areas of life - at work, in the home, on the roads, in
schools, at leisure and on or near water. RoSPA aims to campaign
for change, influence opinion, contribute to debate, educate and
inform - for the good of all.
Sustrans -
are the sustainable transport charity, working on practical
projects to encourage people to walk, cycle and use public
transport in order to reduce motor traffic and its adverse effects.
Sustrans' flagship project is the National Cycle Network, creating
10,000 miles of routes throughout the UK.
Waterscape -
is a British Waterways site with information on many leisure
pursuits including cycling.
