Nantwich to Crewe Greenway Scheme

Nantwich and Crewe are two towns that are within easy cycling distance of each other but are separated by main roads. The scheme sets out to create a rural promenade between the towns along the A530 corridor. It will be set well back from the main road so as to be an attractive and pleasurable experience for journeys of every kind. The proposals will connect the excellent riverside walks in Nantwich with the historic Queen's Park in Crewe which is just about to embark on a massive restoration. In doing so, it will ensure that both of these wonderful public areas are readily accessible to their local populations on foot and by bike.

Construction of the final phase of the scheme is anticipated to commence in April 2012 and be completed by late August 2012
