Penalty Charges
Penalty Charges are issued for contravention of Parking Regulations - usually
known as Parking Fines or a Fixed Penalty
notice.
Since the law changed in April of 2008, we have adopted a
different system of penalty charges for parking contraventions.
(The new law is called the Traffic Management Act 2004).
Two levels of Penalty Charges apply - one for
“higher level” contraventions and one for
"lower level" contraventions. In each band, there
is a discount of 50% for payment within 14
days. The banded charges are as follows:
