Tegg’s Nose Country Park Car Park, Macclesfield
The consultation period for the proposal to make the Cheshire
East Borough Council (Off Street Parking Places) (Macclesfield
Area) (Tegg’s Nose Country Park, Macclesfield) (Amendment) Order
2012 closed on 9th February 2012.
The Order, the effect of which will be to amend the Original
Order by:
(a) converting the relevant enforcement provisions contained
within the Original Order to those under the Traffic Management Act
2004 (i.e. ‘civil enforcement’);
(b) amending the provisions of the Original Order relating to
the manner in which payment of charges for the use of parking
places is made, to facilitate payment by ‘Pay by Phone’ and payment
by debit/credit card. ‘Pay by Phone’ means a cashless method of
payment of charges for the use of a parking place involving payment
by telephone or electronic means allowing the vehicle to be parked
for the period of time for which payment has been made, to be used
where such facility is advertised and provided for in a parking
place and the use of which is specified by sign or notice in the
parking place. A transaction fee will be incurred for the use of
this facility, the level of which shall be displayed on signs or
notices at the parking place;
(c) amending the charges for use of the off-street parking place
to the following: 0 – 30 minutes: no charge; 30 minutes – 1 hour:
£0.60; 1 – 3 hours: £1.70; and 3 – 10 hours: £2.00; and
(d) amending the charge for an annual permit from £20 (and £15
for concessions) to £25 (with no concessions),
was made on 16th February 2012 and will come into force on 2nd
March 2012.
