Short Break carers needed NOW!
Can you share the care?
Katy’s much like any other nine year old girl. She just happens
to be disabled. At times she would like the chance to do different
things and meet new people. And her parents sometimes need a break
too.
That’s where you come in. Offering a ‘home from home’ support
service, you’ll provide children like Katy with a short-break,
providing them with a chance to broaden their horizons and have
positive new experiences.
So if you are committed and have the space and time to look
after a child with physical and/or learning disabilities for a
night, a weekend or even a longer holiday and you will be doing
something really worthwhile.
As part of the
Aiming High programme we are also seeking to recruit full time
foster carers who have experience either caring for a disabled
child at home or supporting them through a professional career in
childcare. If you have the skills we are looking for to support a
number of children (only one at any one time) with either
challenging behaviour or complex health needs, then you could
become a specialist foster carer with Cheshire East Council.
So call 0300 123 3223 or email fostering@cheshireeast.gov.uk
for more information now.
