Fostering and Adoption
We did it. Could you?
If you can provide a safe, secure and loving family home
environment and have a spare bedroom, then you could adopt or
foster a child.
Some people think you have to be extra special to foster or
adopt. You don’t. You just have to be special in the eyes of the
child or young person you care for and look after. You’ll need to
have the time to make the child feel wanted, loved and an important
part of your life for as long as they are in your care.
You don’t need to be
special?
What matters most is that you have the room in your home to look
after a child, are able to make them feel comfortable with their
surroundings and give them a sense of their true potential. You
must also be able to demonstrate a mature, responsible attitude and
have the skills and qualities to care for children separated from
their own families.
