Cheshire East Carers

Providing a Break

One of the simplest things that carers need is a break from their caring responsibilities. However this can often be difficult because of the needs of the person they are caring for.

If, following a carers assessment a break is identified as part of our support to you we can arrange this for you – it could mean a few hours, a day or even longer. There are lots of ways that people can enjoy a break too – from enrolling on a course to having a pamper session. We will discuss with you what you want and tailor the nature of the break to suit you.

We work closely with a range of providers, both internal Council services, and with third sector agencies. Carers services are funded through the Carers Grant and are listed below.

Alzheimers Society - Range of services provided for carers of Alzheimers clients including breaks, luncheon clubs, support groups, training and awareness for carers of sufferers.
