• National Family Week - 30 May to 5 June 2011 is National Family Week. The Cheshire East Family Information Service will help bring families together by promoting this week along with events and activities being undertaken throughout Cheshire East.
• Support is Here For You - the second edition of our newsletter for users of supported housing services has been published. You can view it online or contact us for a hard copy.
• Changes to the SPKweb - the national Supporting People website is no longer being used to publish information on Supporting People. The department of Communities and Local Government (CLG) has decided to publish key national information on its Communities and Local Government website from 1 April 2010. The SPKweb will be archived and historical information kept. A link to the archived site will be available on the CLG 's website.
• The Future of Supporting People - The Communities and Local Government Committee has published its report on the Supporting People programme. The report considers the future of the programme in detail, including the removal of the ring fence, the burden of competitive tendering regimes for small providers, the future funding of accommodation-based services - and the role of the Quality Assessment Framework and the Outcomes Framework. The Government have published their response to this report.
• Directory of Services - The Cheshire East Supporting People Directory of Services (PDF, 776KB)  is now available online to view and download. If you would like a hard copy of the directory please contact the Supporting People team.
• Supporting People Search Facility - An online search facility for finding information on Supporting People funded services in Cheshire East is available. Members of the public, service users, partners and providers can use the Supporting People search facility to enter multiple search criteria to find service details and contact information.
