Bus Shelters and Bus Stops

Responsibility for the maintenance of a bus shelter can fall with either Cheshire East Council or the Parish / Town Council, depending on which authority provides and owns it.

Clear Channel (Adshel) has a contract with the council to provide advertising shelters which are installed and maintained at no cost to the Council.

New Bus Stop Requests or upgrades to existing stops

Requests for new stops or for existing stops to be upgraded can be made direct to Cheshire East Transport using the contact details above.

Bus Stop Accessibility

Across East Cheshire 614 stops have raised kerbs installed to make boarding and alighting easier for disabled passengers and passengers with pushchairs.

On Street Bus Stop Frames

You can find bus stop timetable displays at over 1121 bus stops in Cheshire East. Where possible we try to update the displays in the frame the day before a service change; although this can be a few days either side on occasion. Each display has a date at the top to show when it was last updated.
