As with a learning disability, a physical disability can vary in severity. It can be anything which impacts on the person’s ability to go about their life. These disabilities can either be present before birth (developed inside the womb – a ‘prenatal’ condition) or developed following birth due to accident, infection or physical deterioration.
If you have a disability, or someone with a disability lives with you permanently, you might be able to apply for a Council Tax band reduction (PDF, 323KB).
