Funding from Cheshire East Virtual School

Pupil Premium Plus (looked after children) 2017-18

From April 2017 the method used to allocate funding for cared for children will be amended to a ‘needs led’ model where schools can request the amount needed to carry out the support and interventions which have been identified as necessary.

This change has been made because the needs of children vary considerably and having a standard allocation provides too much money for some children and not enough for others. The revised use of Pupil Premium will also be used to increase the support and advice available around PEP s and supporting young people in schools. The Pupil Premium Plus ( LAC ) 2017-18 paper gives details of the changes together with key information about how schools will access this fund.
