Join us on Tuesday 13 June at 7.30pm for a talk by David Richardson of the Jane Austen Society. 2017 marks the 200th anniversary of the death of Jane Austen. What is it that makes her so popular today? What makes her six completed novels so special? What of the lady herself - do we know her as well as we think we do? These are just a few of the questions David will address. Tickets £4.50, including a glass of wine. Please book in advance.
Rhymetime volunteers needed
We are looking for volunteers to help with our rhymetime for babies and toddlers on a rota basis. Singing ability is not necessary, just enthusiasm and the ability to engage with children and carers. Please ask staff for more details or an application form. You are welcome to sit in on a rhymetime before you commit. These take place on Thursdays at 10.30-11.00am.
Ancestry taster sessions

Basic computer skills sessions with an IT buddy are now available at the library at £2.00 per hour. This entitles you to an hour's free use of the computers after your tutored session to practice what you have learned. Please contact the library for more details.
